Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this product because it came with extra filters and it had a lot of good reviews. It was so simple to put together. Only issue is that I couldn't get the impeller out to pre-wash it and the pump. Guess I'll Google that when it's time to wash and change filters. It did take well over a minute for the pump to start pushing the water through the flower. I have yet to see my cat drink from it, but it's only been running for 24 hrs. As long as it continues working like it should and she will use it, I rate it 5 stars.

Already owned this one but have had it for several years. It had gotten loud, the new one is so quiet I can't even hear the water running. It's newer so fewer pieces to take apart and clean. It came with extra filters which is always a plus.Very happy with it. I worry my cat don't drink enough but then I see her drinking out of the fountain and it gives me piece of mind, no more toliet drinking.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this because it holds more water than others, it's made of mostly stainless steel and the filters sit directly on top which makes it easier to clean and replace. So far this unit seems to work well, even when the water level gets low. Filters are affordable and unit is easy enough to take apart and clean.Cats really like running water. It's important for cats to drink water, especially if they are eating dry food. It can help minimize urinary and renal issues.

I have 2 cats. One acts like a jerk and the other doesn't. The jerk loves tipping over the water bowl. Fine, so I got a slightly larger bowl with a completely flat, untippable bottom. That's when the jerk decided the water bowl would be more fun as a splash pool. Sigh. I purchased this to see if her bad behavior would stop. She refused to use it until she saw the other cat using it! No more splashes or puddles everywhere! Success! Holds a lot of water, and the constant flow seems to encourage the cats to drink more. Extremely easy to clean and refill. Filters seem to keep the water crystal clear with very little maintenance. I still wash it out with soap and water at least once a week, but the water and fountain components have never been gross. I also change the filters every 3-4 weeks. The light is bright enough that you can see if it needs refilled, but not so bright that it is a problem at night. There is a toghle switch to turn the light off if that is your preference. This does make a minimal amount of noise noise bc the pump is constantly keeping the water flowing. The noise is mostly a trickle sound from the water, and the pump emits the quietest hum. After a day or so, I didn't notice it anymore. Extremely happy with this purchase, and the cats approve!
